Up to our Eyeballs

It’s a couple of weeks since we came back from Stourbridge, and I was full of good intentions, to sit down at the torch, and put some serious hours in practicing what I have learned. All that went out the window when we got in to the studio, with a mountain of orders to catch up on, and a show at the weekend to prepare for (Glamis Countryside Show , last weekend). So, it wasn’t really until I was at the show that I got to light a torch. I did have a go at some orchidy-things, which turned out not too bad, considering.

Orchids

Orchids - in soft glass!

I want to develop these a bit, and try to get somewhere close to realism, one day…

Meanwhile, we’re conscious that Christmas is lurking just over the horizon, and we really need to seriously start making for the full month of shows we have scheduled in November. Gillian has a huge list in the office of stuff we need to make, so I’m hoping to get started on it as soon as I finish this months scientific glass for SUERC.

Of course, I still have to put some stuff in the Shop section, and put more images in the gallery, and….and….

It’ll all happen. Eventually.
